Transportation
How To Get There
The nearest airport to Segovia is Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport in Madrid (approximately 90 km / 56 miles away).
From Madrid, there are several convenient ways to reach Segovia:

-

High-speed train (Renfe, see website here) from Madrid Chamartín to Segovia Guiomar followed by a taxi to your hotel. Please plan to book train tickets at least 2 months in advance of your arrival since they tend to sell out.

FAQs
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
The welcome reception at Zibá restaurant on June 19th will be outdoors. The wedding ceremony at the Cathedral of Segovia on June 20th will be indoors, and the ensuing banquet and festivities at Castilnovo will be outdoors again.

What will the weather be like?
Mid-June in Segovia usually brings warm, sunny days and cool, comfortable evenings with temperatures ranging from 12–28°C (54-82°F) on average. Because Segovia sits at a higher elevation, evenings can feel cooler, so we recommend bringing a jacket or shawl for outdoor events after sunset (note that the sun sets quite late in June at around 9:45 PM).

What time should I arrive at the Cathedral of Segovia for the wedding ceremony on Saturday?
We recommend you arrive at 11:45 AM so you can get settled in the church before the ceremony starts at 12:00 PM.

What types of shoes should I wear or avoid?
There will be both cobblestone and grass areas across the different venues, so please keep that in mind if you're planning to wear stilettos. High heel cover protectors will be provided at the entrance of the Castle. A cloakroom will be available for the convenience of our guests, should they wish to leave outerwear or additional items.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
We are more than happy to accommodate dietary restrictions. Please just make sure to flag any dietary restrictions when you fill out the RSVP form so we can plan ahead.

Do I need a car in Segovia?
It depends on your broader travel plans, but if you are just planning to stay in Segovia, a car is not needed given the city is very walkable and has an excellent bus service as well as local taxis. While Uber ride share is not available in Segovia, the app does allow you to book local taxis.

Where should I park?
For the wedding day, we would recommend parking in one of the parking garages north of the city center (Plaza Mayor) or in a parking garage by the Aqueduct of Segovia depending on where your hotel is located (and whether or not the hotel itself offers parking options). For the pre-wedding welcome reception on June 19th, the venue will provide parking and for those who do not have a designated driver lined up, the venue is a short taxi ride from the hotels listed above.
